Meet Ella Ella is a young (2-3 year old) female yorkie. She was intended to be used for breeding on a farm but was meant to be. She arrived to us very nervous and not accustomed to living in a home environment or interacting with people. She has been in foster for quite some time now and is making big improvements thanks to her wonderful foster family. Ella is super sweet and gentle. She needs time and patience to continue to come out of her shell. She gets along with other dogs very well, has interacted with both male and female dogs of various sizes. She is interested in squirrels and rabbits and may have a prey drive towards smaller animals. Ella is working on leash training and right now is getting comfortable walking on a long lead. She is also working on her house training and coming along nicely. She never shows any aggression but will take time to settle in a new environment and tends to ‘shut down’. We are hoping to find a family or individual with a quiet home environment that is willing to continue working with her on socializing. She’s young enough that she will come along but we don’t want her to be to overwhelmed in a loud or hectic home environment.
