We had maritime cities on the east and west coasts, with shipbuilding companies and seamen schools. We were working our port in Virginia when the colonizers came, if they were a threat to us at that time we would’ve unalived them, we built all the ships back than. Black Americans owned and operated pioneering shipyards and maritime companies, most notably the Chesapeake Marine Railway and Dry Dock Company. Roots in 1619: Black Americans worked the waterways of the Chesapeake Bay from the earliest arrival of ships in Jamestown. This is where the Mississippian mound and pyramid building culture was concentrated, where we built over 1M+ P&Ms they destroyed 90% of them. Pyramids & Mounds: Over 100,000 known + likely over 1,000,000 total pyramids, platform mounds, burial mounds, effigy mounds, temple mounds, and city-center mound complexes across North America alone not even counting other parts of the continent. Most mounds and pyramids were bulldozed, plowed, or leveled.
