@saltsugarandstories: I’ve always believed that if somebody takes a swing at you, you have every right to defend yourself. But when you bring 20 of your best friends into the fight, it’s not exactly a fair fight anymore, is it? And that’s what I’ve had to recognize about having a platform like mine. I’m human. I have feelings. I get my feelings hurt. I get angry. I have good days and bad days, and y’all get to see all of it. But I’ve done this before, felt bad about it, promised myself I’d do better, and then turned around and did it again. At some point, that becomes a pattern, and I have to take responsibility for it. I can’t control what people say to me, but I CAN control how I respond. I’m not promising I’ll never clap back again. 😂 I’m just saying I can do it without putting somebody’s name in front of hundreds of thousands of people. I’m still learning, still growing as a human, and I’m still every day, trying to do better and be better.
