dude not only nazis fought the Soviets, in ww2 Finland fought against the Soviet invasion (winter war) and later in continution war, also Iran fought against Soviet invasion (anglo-soviet invasion of Iran), plus several countries (including my own country Norway) sent volunteers to fight the soviets.

While I get the sentiment behind this post, it's plausible her grandfather could have fought for the Finnish army against the Soviets in the 1939-1940 winter war, in which Finland was not yet allied with Yahtzee Germany. The other scenario is her grandfather fought for Poland when they were invaded by the Soviets in 1939, in which not only was Poland not allied with Yahtzee Germany at the time, but the Soviets were the ones who had a very loose alliance with Yahtzee Germany. I'm not saying either of these are necessarily the case, but this person's reply at least deserves the follow-up question of "Who did your grandfather fight for?".

Not everyone that fought the Soviets was evil. Poles and Finns fought the Soviets trying to oppress them. For the Finns, allying with the Nazis was an alliance forged because the alternative was fighting the Soviets alone, you can hardly blame them, especially when you factor in that Finland didn’t kill any of its Jews or follow any Nazi demands.
