I think he’s always playing 7D chess too. He’s extremely smart. I don’t think he was as manipulated as he wants you to believe because that ambiguity is part of him crafting an angle to the story.

His whole thing about (paraphrasing) “is it a lie if she believes it to be tru” the answer is yes lol. Yes they are still a liar. If someone insists that 2+2 =5 but in reality it’s 4, it doesn’t matter that they think it’s 5. It just means they are crazy lol. And when the stakes instead are “this product can test anything with a drop of blood” when in reality it can’t , then yeah this person deserves to be reprimanded. The entire saga is bigger than a few lies here or there. It is an entire web. Just because you’ve convinced yourself of a different reality, it doesn’t remove you from the one being lived by the majority of others.
