@destinationaircrash: Seconds after takeoff from Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan, National Airlines Flight 102 plunged to the ground. Investigators initially suspected the aircraft was simply too heavy. The shocking truth? A military vehicle broke loose inside the cargo hold, damaging critical flight controls. All seven crew members lost their lives. #AirCrashInvestigation #AviationHistory #PlaneCrash #Boeing747 #NationalAirlines102

I still think the cargo shifted due to steep takeoff climb

ElectraG :
Cargo was improperly secured , shifted on take off , wheels went thru floor crushing cables for rudder and flaps same vehicle went thru pressure bulkhead jamming elevator jack screw - crew had zero control of aircraft. If the cargo has only shifted aft just creating a 70% Mac they could have landed the plane but with controls out they were dead.

I belive they were doing a tactical (steep) departure to avoid RPG and small arms fire and contributed to the load shift

The cargo was some military vehicles they weren’t latched down properly. They shifted back and broke the rear cargo hold. The pilots could nothing about it.

I remember seeing this one. They did not secure the military cargo with enough chains and strap, so the cargo shifted towards the rear of plane. It was a gonner once that happen. Too much weight on rear.
