No, it’s because he messed up his own joke and he missed the self-reflection punchline he often has with his jokes which reminds the audience that maybe we all have unexamined prejudices in some ways. But in this case he formed the joke wrong and it just came of misogynistic. Jimmy Carr can make such jokes because he is dripping with sarcasm and you know he doesn’t mean it, but wants to say the rudest possible thing, but Gillis messed up his usual joke pattern and came off looking bad
