City schools are terrible too. Best friend just had to pull her son out of school as a 6th grader because he was relentlessly bullied, even to the extent that kids made up a song about his grandmother passing away days after it happened. He’s a sweet boy who just never got into sports and likes to play Roblox and read and apparently that isn’t acceptable in Roanoke city. The principal told him to “just ignore it” when it was reported that kids were singing “the dead grandma song” to him to make him cry
