@alabama__ftbl: Alabama football’s offense looked abysmal Saturday against Tennessee. The Crimson Tide turned the ball over four times, only scored a touchdown on a drive that started at the Volunteer 14, and didn’t manage a single second-half point. When speaking with reporters Monday after the 26-10 loss, offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb took responsibility. “I thought I had a good game plan,” Grubb said. “This isn’t a point the fingers at the kids kind of day. This is, you know, we’re pissed off. I thought I had them ready to play, and I didn’t. You know, the bottom line is we got outplayed. (Tennessee) played their butts off. I think they’re a good team. We certainly didn’t show anywhere close to the caliber, a team that I know that we are. “It’s a long season. We still got everything in front of us. I think the guys know that, but you know, really just super disappointing. A lot of hours and time put into 10 points, you know, and it’s embarrassing. And if I was a fan or a supporter, I’d be pissed off too. So I know our guys are going to come back ready to work, and and I just wouldn’t count these guys out. Let’s just see what happens this week.” Drive after drive, the Crimson Tide couldn’t move the ball. Tennessee appeared to have figured out exactly how to stop Grubb’s unit, which barely showed any signs of life throughout the game. Grubb said he had asked himself “a million questions,” about what he could have done better from a playcalling perspective on Saturday. “It could be the depth of the game plan,” Grubb said. “Maybe it’s too much. You know, the guys played with noise, and like I’m saying, in their head, they played slow at times. Then you got to look at like how much stuff do we need to have in? How do we get the guys to play faster? “I think that’s a huge part of it, and that kind of environment, you know, especially for Keelon, my first thing was like, OK, how do I get this guy to play faster? Deal better with some of these pressure situations? Because he’s a great player. I think, I mean, I’ll say it. I’ll go on record. I think Keelon Russell is the best quarterback in America, period. And I know that’s not what showed up on Saturday.”

Roll your QB out of the pocket some to keep him from being a sitting duck in the pocket!

He seems to think he's better than he is sometimes and doesn't have room for improvement. Maybe this will show him he's still got a lot to learn when it comes to going against really good defenses

I fully believe Tennessee skipped prepping for Arkansas in order to have 2 weeks to prep for bama. that's why they played so terribly against Arkansas and looked so good against bama.

RUN the dang ball coach. Do quick short passes! It’s not rocket science. Guys when you Tackle… wrap them us (get the feet) you learn this in Toy bowl football. ( Being lazy ) no excuses. You’re getting a free education, you’re eating the best food, you have access to the best gyms, equipment, massages, everything is Elite. Show us Elite play. Never and I mean never let anyone out work or out play you!!! Have a champions heart and a champions mentality!!! Get enough rest each night. And the refs… YES they are always harder on Alabama than anyone else…. Expect this! We all know this. So never leave the game in the refs hands. The way we win …. It’s simple… Win each down … one play at a time. Heart wins the game. Gentlemen let’s be champions. Real winners come back stronger after a loss!!!! Now let’s get ready for Saturday!
