The self awareness she has is what makes this entire finale journey even more bittersweet. As a fan, there's one side that would like to hear her sing forever or until she literally couldn't anymore but there's also this side that wants to see her enjoy the rest of her life. For the last forty years, she was able to establish a career a lot of performers and artist who have the talent could only dream of! The hits, the records, the collaborations, the milestones. All unmatched! Which made it very clear that Regine has always been in a category and in a lane of her own. A testament to why Regine is one of one. At the same time, while we are captivated by her stellar career achievements throughout those forty years, she was also able to help her family and raise one of her own all while being freaking Regine. And at this point, I think stepping away might be the most painful decision right now. But I think that it is time for her to enjoy and live the life that she had always built for her, her own family, her husband, and her son. It's time to reap the fruits of her decades long labor and if this concert is the beginning of that harvest, then I'll support that all the way. I'm sure I'm not the first one who said this but even a non-die hard fan would say that she has already proven her greatness long before this concert series. Wala naman nang makaka-pantay, makaka-talo, at makaka-pagpabago sa nai-ambag, naibigay, at nagawa nang nagi-isang Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. We all knew that Regine soared so everyone else could fly along. Love you ate!! ❤️
