There was a time in my life when I was surrounded by darkness and couldn’t see how far the road I was on would take me. I lived the street life, battled addiction, and spent years behind prison walls. I made choices I’m not proud of, and I carry a past I can never erase. But that past is part of my story, not the end of it. During my addiction, God wasn’t my focus. I was living a worldly life and doing things my own way. When I became sober, God was spoken into my life. With a clear mind, I started seeing things differently. I looked back at everything I had survived and began realizing that God had been by my side all along. I started recognizing His protection, His blessings, and the times He carried me through situations I never thought I would make it out of. Over time, my relationship with God grew stronger. Then came the day I made the decision to fully surrender my life to Jesus Christ. I gave Him my heart, chose to follow Him, and was baptized. Giving my life to Jesus didn’t make me perfect, and it didn’t make my battles disappear. Today I’m fighting cancer, but I know I don’t walk through it alone. My faith, strength, and hope are in Jesus Christ. I can’t go back and change the man I once was, but through Christ, I can continue becoming the man God is calling me to be. My past is part of my testimony, but it does not define who I am today. My identity is in Christ. I’ve known physical chains, and I’ve known the chains that came with the life I once lived. Today, through Jesus Christ, I understand what true freedom means. This isn’t the story of a perfect man. It’s my testimony of God’s grace, mercy, redemption, and the life changing power of Jesus Christ. #Jesussaves #Godisgood #redemption #chainbreaker
