@thecrowtoldme23: Three questions for any label you carry about yourself, especially the ones you say without thinking. When did you last test it? A lot of the labels people carry were stamped on in school or in a first job. Skills change. Situations change. If the last real test was fifteen years ago, the label is running on old data. Where did you first hear it? A teacher. A parent. A boss. One bad review. Sometimes a label came from careful evidence. Sometimes it came from one person on one hard day. Knowing the source does not settle whether it is true, but it tells you how much weight it has earned. What would change your mind? This is the question that matters most. If you can name what would prove the label wrong, you can go looking for it. If nothing could ever change your mind, that is no longer a belief you hold. It is a belief that holds you. Then go find out. One small attempt, on purpose, with your eyes open. A boundary worth keeping: use these questions on skills and habits. If a label connects to something painful in your history, that deserves real support from a counselor or therapist, not a card on a phone. The coaching line in my bio is one place to pick the label and plan the first attempt. Calm before cognition.
