Full benefits would be limited to what they paid in. Everyone who retires gets a different amount from Socual Security based on how much they paid in taxes and when they retire. I will get approx $1500 a month, someone who paid in more will get more than that. In your scenario, that person may not get $1000.

Social security payout is based on on how much you paid into it so 10 years of payments will be make the payout much less than 40 years of payments

At 40,000$ a year paying into social security someone would pay about 24,800$ into social security, their employer would Pay the same so a total of 49,600$ in 10 years. The would draw about 1,400$ a month at the age of 67, so they would receive about 17,000$ a year in benefits. Same as a US citizen, the average age of a new lawful permanent resident is 32-35 years old according to the dept of homeland security, while what you said is technically true it’s not actually what happens

They pay into social security but can't collect it unless they become a citizen.

Define full benefits. Please explain exactly what that means. The truth is that they, like the rest of us, have to work 10 years to be eligible and, also like us, what they receive is based entirely on what they paid in.

Even if that’s true, do you think that the immigrants are who have bankrupted social security, or is it the politicians that use it as a slush fund on overspending and projects that never come to realization?

Yes, 10 years/40 quarters is what everybody has to work to get social security. And everybody is subject to the same raises and cuts. So what's your point?

Yes, and you and anyone else can do the same thing. So? Is there a point to be made. Work hard for at least 10 years and are rewarded. When I see texts like this they are difficult to ignore. And I try.

They paid into SS while working and the benefits are based on what was paid into the account from their paycheck deduction.

This post is not complete. If they are not citizens and they return to their country they lose their benefits after 6 months. And also medical benefits finish when they move out of the country. “ Non-Citizen Payment Rules: If you are not a U.S. citizen, Social Security retirement payments generally stop after you are outside the U.S. for 6 consecutive calendar months, unless you meet specific exceptions (such as being a citizen of certain countries that have social insurance or totalization agreements with the U.S., or meeting residency exceptions)”
