@revezramokgope: On Sunday, I knelt before twelve men from the congregation God has entrusted to my care. A basin of water. A towel. Twelve men. And a Scripture that has challenged my understanding of ministry. “As I have done for you.” — John 13:15 I have spent years teaching that the purpose of discipleship is Christ formation. Yet there is something deeply confronting about the Lord Himself kneeling before those He had called to follow Him. HE KNEW WHO HE WAS, AND STILL HE KNELT. That thought has stayed with me. As a pastor, I am entrusted with the care of souls, not the cultivation of my own importance. Whatever authority I carry must remain accountable to the example of the One who called me. The hands that shepherd God’s people must never become too important to wash their feet. My prayer is that we raise a generation that knows Jesus beyond the pulpit, beyond the music, beyond the Sunday gathering. A people in whom His character becomes visible. Because the measure of our discipleship is not merely how well we speak of Christ, but how faithfully we learn to live as He taught us. HUMILITY IS NOT A PERFORMANCE. IT IS A POSTURE. This was #WorshipSunday at NCFI Rustenburg. 🤍 And I leave you with the question I have been asking myself: If the Master took a towel, what are we still holding on to that prevents us from serving? #FollowJesus #ServantLeadership #ChristianTikTok #WorshipSunday
