approx 791,486 people live in Brampton with ONE hospital. What do people expect. So many people misuse the emergency dept where you could be visiting your doctors, walk in or urgent care

This checks out. I went there as Psych Ward patient, my Psychiatrist, told me, to my face as a suffering suicidal individual that if wanted to bed dead, I would be. The social worker in the room, didn't even flinch. She was also feeding me the double daily dose of Zopiclone(15mg) to treat my severe, chronic insomnia. When I told her it was NOT HELPING, it was making me feel WORSE she still made me take it & made sure the nurses checked my mouth to ensure I took it. I went back feeling unsafe being on this medication & the same Psychiatrist came down, talked to the Doctor looking after me & kept me on it & made me take it AGAIN even though I was crying & shaking. The patient I was sharing a room with was even concerned about my reaction to having to take that medication again. Plus, if it didn't knock me out quick enough, she'd top it off with Lorazepam... Made me sleep? Yes. But I woke up feeling like I got NO sleep whatsoever plus I felt drugged for hours after waking up... I lost faith for so long after going there. So glad I found a Therapist, Social Worker & Psychiatrist that actually care.

We already knew that. If you can handle the drive, you go to Georgetown or Mississauga. Why ppl think 1 frigging hospital is good enough for a population that size is beyond me

I went there to get better as a mental hospital patient left with so much truama i refuse to get checked at any hospital now

Yeah my grandmother had pneumonia, on top of COPD, they gave her fentanyl alongside other drugs without our consent and made her pass away.

unfortunately this problem won't resolve until brampton gets another hospital. honestly, by the time we get another hospital we might even need a third. the fact that brampton has been allowed to operate for so long on a single hospital is absurd
