I work in Clinical Trial Start-Up and the section in the consent form about pregnancy/contraception is loooong. You have to agree to use several effective forms of BC when you’re on the study and some of them even say you have to abstain entirely for the duration of the study + some time afterwards. Definitely a much better option than excluding women entirely!!
