This is nothing new, it's called poetic license. there are VERY few film adaptations of books that follow the book. As long as Aslan remains in the "savior" role his affiliation to Christ is irrelevant.

I always saw Ashlyn as God versus Jesus like I get that in line the witch in the wardrobe. It was technically Jesus because he ended up dying and coming back. I get the understanding of that, but Ashlyn is just God in the magicians nephew.

aslan's voice was compared to being deep as mother earth herself so whos to say aslan's voice cant be deep and feminine? Also it doesn't take away or get rid of the Christian messages/ imagery just because the lion is played by a woman.
