South Korea is afraid of being dragged by the US into a limited war with China. That’s why it wants to take back wartime operational control. But based on the current situation, many people think Asia might get involved in a war soon. No Asian country will be able to stay neutral then. Lee Jae-myung is also preparing in advance for a possible future war.

Alonzo Brooks was 23 years old when he disappeared after attending a party in rural Kansas — a case that would later be ruled a homicide, yet remains without charges more than two decades later. On April 3, 2004, Brooks traveled from Gardner to a party at a farmhouse outside La Cygne with several friends. La Cygne was widely perceived at the time as a predominantly white, small rural town, and Brooks was reportedly one of the only Black attendees at the gathering. According to witness accounts shared in later investigations and media reports, the atmosphere grew tense as the night progressed. Some partygoers allegedly made racially charged remarks, and Brooks was reportedly involved in a confrontation that escalated into a physical altercation. As the night unfolded, confusion added to the situation. One of Brooks’ friends left the party to buy cigarettes but later said they became lost on unfamiliar back roads and had trouble returning. At the same time, another friend reportedly offered Brooks a ride home. That individual later told investigators he believed Brooks had already left and departed without him. In the chaos of people arriving and leaving the rural property, Brooks was ultimately left behind. When Brooks failed to return home or make contact, his family quickly organized search efforts. Volunteers searched the farmhouse property, surrounding fields, wooded areas, and nearby waterways in the days following his disappearance. Despite multiple searches, no trace of him was found during those initial efforts. Nearly a month later, on May 1, 2004, Brooks’ body was discovered in Middle Creek, a short distance from the party site — in an area his family has said had previously been searched. An initial autopsy was unable to determine the cause of death because of the condition of the remains, and the manner of death was listed as undetermined. For years, the case remained largely inactive, despite persistent concerns from his family that racial violence may have played a role. The investigation gained renewed national attention in 2020 after the case was featured on the Netflix reboot of Unsolved Mysteries. The FBI reopened the case, exhumed Brooks’ body, and conducted a second autopsy. In July 2021, federal authorities announced that his death had been officially ruled a homicide, though the specific cause has not been publicly released. Authorities have acknowledged the possibility that racial bias could have been a factor, and a reward remains in place for information leading to arrests or convictions. More than 20 years later, no one has been charged, and the case remains under active investigation. #truecrime #truecrimetok #unsolvedmysteries #murder #horror
