my mom takes care of my son and I pay her monthly so that is her only source of income. However it is paid through zelle/cashapp. She is not married. Does have a social but will not file taxes as I claim her

Do you have information on trust funds? I created a revocable trust and have this listed as my beneficiary (bank accounts, 401, roths, life insurances, etc) with my kids inheriting the trust. However I was told upon my death they’re now looking at 40% tax via the trust. I need more information on this please.
