@safari_davis: Common Ostrich (Struthio camelus) During breeding season, male ostriches chase females in an attempt to mate. Courtship also involves elaborate displays in which males spread their wings, shake their feathers, and sway their heads and necks. Females can accept or reject a male’s advances, and chasing does not always lead to mating. Ostriches are polygynous, with dominant males mating with multiple females. #Ostrich #BirdCourtship #AnimalBehavior
