Since she began her military training in August 2023, each October 12th has allowed us to witness a new stage in a journey that is taking her to learn about the three branches of the Armed Forces and is part of her preparation as the future Queen of Spain. In 2023, Princess Leonor captured all the attention with her dress uniform as a cadet in the Army. It was also the first time she participated in the reception of the Kings at the Royal Palace. There, she left one of the most spontaneous scenes of that day: the surprise and the smile with which she received several classmates who had come to kiss her. Between protocol greetings and authorities, that encounter also allowed us to see the young woman who was experiencing an extraordinary journey alongside her classmates. A year later, in 2024, the uniform had changed. Princess Leonor was already at the Naval Military School of Marín and attended with the dress uniform of the Navy. The rain conditioned that National Festival, forced the suspension of part of the planned exhibitions and turned the parade into a particularly complicated day. But Princess Leonor returned to accompany the Kings in the central events and in the reception at the Royal Palace, where she spoke with the guests and shared some anecdotes in a more relaxed atmosphere. It was her second consecutive participation and the first as heir after having sworn the Constitution at the age of 18. In 2025, it was the turn of the General Air and Space Academy in San Javier. Princess Leonor appeared with the uniform corresponding to her aeronautical training, thus completing the tour of the Army, the Navy, and the Air and Space Forces. Three consecutive years in which the photographs of October 12th have reflected the progress of a military training program designed for the future Head of State to know the Armed Forces from her own classrooms, units, and training centers. And there is a detail that has also been observed during these days: during the reception at the Royal Palace, the Princess has maintained her military uniform, while King Felipe VI usually changes to dress in civilian clothes. It is a protocol curiosity that accompanies these images, although the Princess's tour of the academies and her increasingly frequent presence at major institutional events are the true thread that connects these three years.
