Businessman and political commentator, Isaac Fayose has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration as the worst government in the history of Nigeria. Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, made the remark during an interview on News Central TV, where he spoke on the state of the nation and the alleged intimidation of opposition parties by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). According to him, “This is the worst government in the history of our country. You don’t even need to ask me, go to the street and ask. Over 67 percent of Nigerians have been crying since this government came.” Fayose compared the current administration to that of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing the hardship under Tinubu as “shege pro-max.” He further alleged that the APC government is working to stifle the opposition ahead of the 2027 general election. He cited the recent alleged blocking of Peter Obi in Benue State and the alleged prevention of his own group from campaigning in Akwa Ibom State. “We have been shouting for the past three years that the APC government wants to kill the opposition. Our president cannot even campaign because he is avoiding facing Nigerians,” Fayose said.
