Any chance you know if this freezes well? I love corn chowder, and would love to try it (now that you've shown me that it's not as scary as I feared), but cannot eat all of that before it goes bad. Just one of the downsides of living alone...but soooo many upsides. lol

another tip I heard is put a little bit of water in the pan with bacon, like you would use oil or butter for veggies and it helps render the fat a bit quicker
