40. 8 x 5. The pattern starts with 5 and 10 which are directly across from each other. 5 times (2) is 10. Then 6 is across from 18…6 times (3). Next is 7 across from 28…7 times, 7 times (4)= 28. Finally 8 is across from ? If you multiply 8 times (5), you get 40.
