Maaaan, that’s an unfortunate take being an artist. Nothing wrong with using tools to help the workflow, but AI is completely removing large sections of the creative human element that MAKES art what it is. It steals from existing artists that have put in the time, hours, EMOTION into perfecting their craft, just to allow less experienced artists to use AI to rip their style and copy that shit (usually butchered anyways) onto people. It’s just not good man. Shit artists are using AI to clean up pictures of their work and passing it as their level of quality and it’s leaving people with shit tattoos. AI is nothing but a stain on tattooing bro, all said with love for tattooing.

And that artist is right, it's about integrity. God forbid artists practice responsible time management and keep a healthy balanced work/life schedule. If I want to spend time with family, friends, or my fiancé, then I book time out of my books for myself. On top of that, there's little to no comparison between using AI technology to do your work for you at any point of your proccess, versus two human artists collaborating on a painting together as master and apprentice.

I don’t have anyone to draw my ideas for the tats I want done, so I designed them with AI-this is one of them. So if I come to an artist with this design idea and they have an issue bc it was made with AI I’d never let them do my tat. I’m in a writers group on FB & some members constantly complain saying if you use AI to create any part of your work you’re not a real writer. I designed both of my book covers with AI idc what other people think.
