these comments denying 0.9 repeating isn't 1 while it has been proved for centuries GENUINELY pissing me off 😭✌

Wouldn’t a number between 0.999… is 0.00…1??

0.999…=1 If you don’t think so, get a positive number that differentiates it from 1. You can’t because it’s infinite. That’s the trick. Math doesn’t have to work in your own logic.

0.9999…… with an infinite ampunt of 9’s is equal to 1 because theres no number inbetween them to define where the change from 0.99999 to 1 is so they are equal

there is always a number between 2 numbers no matter how close they are, now tell me a number between 0.9999… and 1, this concludes that 0.999=1
We say it is 1 because the remaining 0.00001 is such a small number that it is therefore negligible due to its extreme smallness. This is frequently applied in physics, especially in special relativity.
