ATLA was more focused in Aang finishing the 100 year old war, in the movie he had time time to mourn his people and to blame himself for everything that happen 😭

That’s why it’s so sad to see some fans, hating on him and calling him all these names when they don’t realize all the trauma he’s had a face ever since he was 12 like he lost everyone he ever knew at once. Then he had to face a 100 year war that he could only end especially having to learn the other elements within months instead of years of practice. I love seeing Aang because even with all his trauma and pain he still showed grace and love to everyone since he was a kid.

This movie gave me exactly what I wanted while watching the original show as a kid I felt aang's trauma was not really explored and was sometimes joked about. I really wanted a movie that focused on aang's guilt and trauma and I am glad I got it 😊 I'm still very surprised that people hate the movie.

feel this is gonna be "the gen z pull" when depicting depression. Like we got more movies centering such, so either gen alpha is gonna make that remark: "How did you know this media is from the 2010-20s?" "Ez, emphasis on picturing depression is there" "they call it, the gen z pull". 😭 Either they clown us or are lowkey against mental health as being kinda lame to overly talk about it, lmaoooo.
