@outsidenowsite: While you were asleep last Thursday, 29 million birds flew over New England. 🌙 🐦 That's almost twice as many birds as people who live here. 🐦 The average one cruised about 2,000 feet up, higher than any building in Boston. 🐦 By sunrise, they'd quietly landed in woods, parks, and yards. Maybe yours. After the next cold front, step outside after dark and listen. Then point binoculars at the moon. Outside Now - free every morning, what’s happening outside near you. Link in bio. Data: BirdCast radar (Cornell Lab) and the 2020 Census. #birdmigration #newengland #massachusetts #birding
