False! As Old Steve was always in he who remain’s plans! It’s why we see old steve back at Peggy’s funeral. It isn’t due to Steve that Doom happens. It is due to Loki and the multiverse unraveling naturally. With unraveling naturally, the formation of ydrasyll, there is only so much space before tree rings compress and thus cause incursions. Saying it’s due to Steve is like saying it’s due to Odin locking his daughter away and not taking over the universe with the stones.

I think strange didn’t see the only future where they beat thanos. We know from MoM that another strange used the darkhold to beat thanos but it caused incursions. I think this was the only future where the universes didn’t unravel. Because this was the only timeline where they time travel setting Loki free. Causing him to be a variant and causing the events of Loki.
