@davis_salestraining: Some people will only like you when you are easy to control, easy to use, and willing to tolerate disrespect. The moment you set boundaries, speak your truth, and refuse to be walked over, you may suddenly become the “bad person” in their story. Let them misunderstand you. Being disliked for having self-respect is far better than being loved because you have none. Protect your integrity, even when it costs you approval. Not everyone will understand our boundaries, and that’s okay. We don’t have to become someone else just to keep people comfortable. I walked away from 2 insanely narcissistic business partners once their true colors came to light. I’ve never been so emotionally abused by 2 industry “leaders.” But you know what …. ? I’m happier. Because nobody should treat somebody that way and I’m at peace not having that around me anymore.
