@love.type.reconnection: The hardest part of a last conversation usually isn't the conversation. It's the hour before, when you're deciding whether to say yes, and the hour after, when you're wondering if you just reopened something you'd already closed. A few things to notice when "one more talk" comes up: it's proposed after the decision, not before. Nobody has agreed on what it's for, how long it goes, or what it will and won't change. And more often than you'd expect, it ends with the decision back on the table. They may be hoping to change your mind, or they may genuinely just want closure. You can't know which from the outside, which is exactly why the limits have to come from you, not from them. A small practical step: write the three limits down before you answer. Not in your head, actually written. People tend to soften limits in the moment, especially with someone they still care about. Reading them back to yourself first makes them easier to say out loud. Ask LoveType Coach to word the three limits for your final conversation before you say yes to it: you describe the relationship and the talk they're proposing, and it helps you put topic, time and outcome into your own words, plus what to say if they get crossed.
