She shouldn’t owe you to take care of your kid for you to do stuff for her. She probably feels like she’s the only one of your kids who will have to take care of siblings or have expectations placed but your other kids don’t have those same expectations. Personal chores are different, all kids should have personal chores

i’m 16 and i’ve been watching my brother since i was 10, i have my daily chores and i also just do extra stuff around the house since im online just to help my parents out. i know they expect more of me and i like to help them out and in return they do get me more stuff than my siblings, it’s just the principle😭 i could never be disrespectful to my parents

if by chores you mean like washing her laundry or such don’t wash hers especially since she doesn’t want to do the chores and she’ll quickly learn! You have to be tough with them even though it’s not easy like not necessarily yelling but putting up more pressure on them :)

No girl if you give in it’s going to be the same thing every single time. She’s old enough to do things alone. She can walk, bike, scooter there. I was 10…walking my brother to school lol we also have to help our parents.

She has to give a little to get a little. She needs to be willing to bend and help more and you would be willing to bend and help more. She giving selfish for her needs only 16 she should be willing to understand and help more. She can’t expect you to give all and her help none that’s not teaching her nothing but to always expect to receive and never give.

don’t do her chores for her, don’t wash her laundry don’t do any of that . let her learn that if she doesn’t do it it’s not going to get done because then she’s going to be dependent on you doing everything. making her watch her brother regardless is also something good to do because it teaches her responsibilities and that when it comes to family it isn’t optional to look after your siblings respectfully .

I got 5 kids and the oldest 2 are girls (18&17) and its tough!!! Theyre spoiled and its my fault but when I say no their dad says yes. My 17 yr old was struggling mentally so I did her laundry for her for months til I seen her taking the fresh folded clothes n throwing them on her floor so I quit n she complained she has no clothes 🤷‍♀️n her tv broke n I said clean ur room n I'll buy you a new one n she hasnt so no tv. They always told me they forgot their chores so I got a dry erase board n wrote their chores on it, what days and who does what n they still dont do them so when they ask me for something I'm like nope. Its hard cuz a part of me wants to get them everything they want when they want it, but thats the reason why I'm having issues with them now.

As a daughter or a young mom I’m 18 and my mom is in her 30s! We definitely argued more when I was 14-16 both of our hormones were going at it! But I realize now that my mom was right!! As much as we like to fight it my mom was right and im glad I listened to her 🫶🏽🫶🏽
