A few years ago I owned the same year expedition my dad did when I was 7. (2003) I used to sleep in the very back on the ground next to where the heat comes out. I crawled back there as a grown ass man with 2 kids and laid in the same spot with the heat on just to feel that feeling again…

oldest of 3. i got the whole back row to myself and my siblings got the middle seats. i would use the middle searbelt and lay down and sleep for any ride longer than 20 minutes. had a car blanket and pillow. i would stuff books and drawing supplies under the seat. then i learned how to drive with her. i think about her all the time
