This is one of the most honest things you’ve said. A lot of the comments are coming from people acting like they weren’t impulsive and hormonally driven as teenagers and hot in the crotch, many of whom ended up as single mothers themselves. Pretending that couldn’t happen again doesn’t help anyone. If you don’t want your daughter repeating the same path, put her on birth control and actually teach her how to navigate relationships with young men. Hormones don’t care about good intentions.
