The amount of practical countertop space in the kitchen is laughable. Yeah, you have an island, but a lot of people have perhaps a toaster oven or coffee maker or more that they liked to be able to leave out and you don’t do that on island space. You literally have a few inches of space on each side of the sink and that’s it for things like that. I would expect that out of a cheap studio. These folks are crazy.
