Many people on both sides will not be able to begin to let this thought enter their mind (understandably so) but at one point did Israel’s pursuit of revenge for 10/7 become disproportionate. Certainly any rational person would agree they were entitled to some sort of violent response. Revenge on this scale I would imagine is incredibly intoxicating and while there is certainly an intellectual impetus for it, a true sign of intellect is one’s ability to be judicious, something they appear incapable of.
