@kenya.news.today: Trump Says He’ll Be Impeached If Republicans Lose the Midterms President Donald Trump has warned Republicans that losing the 2026 midterm elections could put his presidency under renewed pressure. Speaking to House Republican lawmakers at a retreat at the Kennedy Center on January 6, 2026, Trump said: “You got to win the midterms because, if we don’t win the midterms, it’s just gonna be — I mean, they’ll find a reason to impeach me. I’ll get impeached.” Trump’s remarks put the spotlight on the battle for control of the U.S. Congress and the political consequences of the November 3, 2026 midterm elections. If Democrats win control of the House of Representatives, they would have the power to initiate impeachment proceedings and conduct congressional investigations into the administration. But what would happen next if Republicans lose? Could Trump face a third impeachment? Would Democrats investigate his policies and executive actions? Could his legislative agenda stall, and what would this mean for the final two years of his presidency? Trump was impeached twice during his first term, but the Senate acquitted him in both cases. Losing the midterms would not automatically lead to impeachment or remove him from office. Impeachment requires a majority vote in the House, while conviction and removal require a two-thirds vote in the Senate. In this video, we examine Trump’s January 6 warning, the power of Congress, the possible consequences of a Republican defeat, and the political battle that could shape America’s future through 2028. Do you think a change in control of Congress would lead to another impeachment battle, or would Washington face two years of political gridlock? Share your analysis in the comments.
