@kerrywelland: While others flee the flames, these extraordinary men and women fly directly toward them. Through thick smoke, unpredictable winds, extreme heat, & dangerous terrain, aerial firefighting crews execute precision drops where every second matters. Behind every aircraft is a highly trained crew. Behind every mission is a team of firefighters on the ground, working together to protect lives, homes, wildlife, & entire communities. Their courage is extraordinary ! Their skill is remarkable. Their commitment deserves our deepest respect. Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear flight suits, carry water, & fly straight into danger so others have a chance to escape. To every pilot, aircrew member, firefighter, and first responder battling these fires: Thank you for putting your lives on the line to protect ours. ❤️
