Wrong! As an engineer the first thing you notice is that the triangle is not clearly notated as a right triangle. Therefore you could either solve it as trigonometric function or ask for additional information and track the issue as an action item. Either way we should probably have a technical interchange meeting to discuss. Details matter!!

How comes X is longer that 15, what if we square root all sides and we remain with X+b=c 😁 we may get 25-15 =10, and you never know it could be a wrong formula but we can make it right formula for any answer we multiply by 2 to get a correct answer. It is kind of shortcut. 10x2=20

neither, a true mathematician would recognize the multiples of a 3,4,5 triangle and instantly would know that the side is 20.

an engineer divides both sides by 5 and get 3,5 then uses 3,4,5 rule for squadron finally 4x5=20

I would have divided each by 5. end up with triangle with 5, 3 and x. solve for x and mulitply result by 5. (x=4 mulity by 5) X=20. Did it al in my head.

Both are wrong, there is no indication that these are right angle triangles. Pythagorean Theorem only applies to right angle triangles. Also, if they were right angle triangles 3,4,5 applies, and is easier to use. 15=5×3 25=5×5 thus 4×5=20
