Considering three things: Denver is new to Western Riding, Aaron is new to Western Riding, and you are new to Western Riding, you all did a great job! I’m so proud of you.

Went through all of this with grace. Great job showing the good, bad, and ugly of horse showing. Some days are just not your day, and that’s okay! 🫶🏻

Genuine question for better understanding: while Denver is starting out his career and accolades, and you learning/stepping back into riding, does it make a difference or affect anything when you show him at these big shows and not place?

Thank you for showing the “imperfect” side of riding/showing! Even the most talented and trained horses/riders have off days! Yall still rocked it and gently schooling him is the best choice in that scenario!

This is a great example of the difference between an old timer schooler and a green horse! Older more seasoned horses pick up your slack, so even if you’re not riding 100% correctly they’ve been through it enough to help you and they can anticipate what you are asking even if you don’t ask correctly. Green babies need their hand held through the whole thing. If you’re sending mixed signals they’ll respond accordingly. They really show you where your weak spots are as a rider.

Well and you're both s little tired at this point too, had a LOT going on day after day. That will make everyone loose concentration or awareness I guess of the current situation. It happens, at least you're out there and it was a good time to throw in more experience for both of you together.

My rule has always been blow the class not the horse. No ribbon or prize is worth messing your horse up.

You have a VERY lovely seat. And a very different seat than Arron. So all in all, I hope you all are proud of yourselves, and Denver, for taking on so much “new” (I know you are). I have been waiting for this ride for a while and can’t wait to see how far you both go. I know it’s going to come together beautifully!
