📘📈 #kisah #benjamingraham #investment #investasi

When Cleveland signed him out of the Dominican Republic, three days before his sixteenth birthday, they gave him eighty seven thousand five hundred dollars. The kids scouts are sure about get millions. Tonight he hit the home run that is sending Tampa Bay to the World Series. Here is the whole thing. His father is named Juan. His mother Yeudy worked in physical therapy. The family lives ten minutes from the big ballpark in Santo Domingo. He started playing at five years old. "I've always loved the game." He played basketball until his mother made him quit so he would not get hurt. He was sixteen. And here is how much this kid loved baseball. When he was a boy his parents had another baby, and he told them what to name it. So his little brother is named Girardi, after a man who was managing in the big leagues at the time. Somebody asked him later whether he had really picked it. "I told them to." Nobody thought he was going to be this. He was small, and he has said so himself. "I was actually a late bloomer." A scout named Amiro Santana signed him anyway, and nobody wrote a word about it. MLB.com is where he told all of that, back when he was still a prospect. Then he filled out. Last season he hit 45 home runs, one short of the franchise record. He made the final of the Home Run Derby. He has a wife, Francesca, and a daughter named Valentina. He is still only twenty three years old. Now the honest part. He is not an underdog anymore and it would be dishonest to sell him as one. And eighty seven thousand five hundred dollars is a lot of money to most families, including his. But a truck driver's son from Santo Domingo loved this sport so much as a child that he made his parents name the baby after a manager he had watched on television. And tonight that kid hit a baseball out of the yard and sent his team to the World Series. #MLB #majorleaguebaseball #rays #tampabayrays #tampa
