And more importantly… what exactly am I supposed to do with this information? 💀 I’ve been blonde for YEARS. Between the braids, wigs, and coloring my actual hair, this is not a new development. 😂 But even if it was, why did you feel the need to privately message me just to tell me you don’t like it? Like, was I supposed to thank you for your feedback? Book a color correction? Go sit in a corner and rethink my life choices? 😭 And this is not even me being mad! I genuinely respect that people have their own opinions. Everybody isn’t going to like everything I do, and that’s fine. But there’s a difference between having an opinion and feeling compelled to deliver an unsolicited, backhanded critique to somebody who never asked you for one. That’s what gets me. The first time you ever interact with me, you choose to lead with something negative about my appearance? And then take it to the private messages? FOR WHAT? 😭😂 Sometimes men offer their unsolicited opinions about things that genuinely have nothing to do with them, and I’m just sitting there like… okay, little buddy. 🥹😂 Not because I’m offended, but because I truly don’t understand what you expect me to do with that information. It gives a child announcing that they don’t like a food they’ve never tried. Okay, baby. You don’t have to eat it. 😂 And that’s exactly why this sound resonated with me. Because WHY are you bringing your unsolicited opinions into my little corner of the internet like I called a meeting? 😭 This is my page, my hair, my style, my creativity, and my self-expression. You’re welcome to have your preferences, but you don’t have to personally deliver every negative thought that crosses your mind. I’m at a point where I’m starting to speak on the things I notice instead of just laughing them off in my head. Not because every little thing offends me, but because sometimes I really want to ask: WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE? WHAT WAS THE GOAL? WHAT DID YOU WANT ME TO DO WITH THAT? 😂😂😂 Anyway, the blonde stays.
