My point here is. This is a story. It's not real life. Dare I say, there are actually far more disturbing things happening in the real world today. But the beauty of storytelling is being able to step into a person's different views and feelings through an engaging narrative. If done well, we get to live through their experiences through story; therefore, we open ourselves to empathy and expanded understanding of the human condition. Those who get offended by Mushoku Tensei should rally outside with things like MONSTER on Netflix, Made in the Abyss, Perfect Blue, and Berserk, which depict far more disturbing "stories" Everyone has the right to be offended by whatever they want, but we also have the right to appreciate what we believe is good storytelling. If you don't like it, then we are just different people who appreciate different things. For me, Mushoku Tensei has been one of the most realistic portrayals of a human being going through the Isekai experience.

True, theres some things Rudeus does thats really really questionable especially if you mirror it IRL, pero all in all the anime is really good in a storytelling standpoint.

Rudeus is not hated because he has 3 wives. Harem is literally one of the popular genre of manga for a reason. Rudeus is hated because he is a weirdo in his past life and he carried that weirdness in his second life. Why not mention that part? That's literally the biggest flaw of his character and you tried to blame it on having "3 wives" as the reason why he's hated?

it’s very ironic that you’re saying this is just a story, this is not real life and proceed to praise how the story is good, this is how it should be in real life.. so which is it? treat it as a fictional story? or treat it as something that should be reflected in real life? also, point of clarification.. majority of the hate is for the mc, rudeus, not the anime or the story in general.. but even if there’s hate for the anime or the story in general, it’s also warranted.. people hate rudeus because the narrative's priorities are entirely misconstrued; it does not give his most vile actions the moral weight or nuance they deserve.. people hate rudeus not because he doesn't get punished, but because the narrative treats his sexual deviant behavior/actions, at best, as glossed over and, at worst, as something glorified or romanticized.. also, treating it as just fiction and not calling out the problematic parts is why people becomes desensitized which those problematic aspects of life.. just simply try searching mushoku tensei here in tiktok and you will see how many you will find defending rudeus’ degenerate sexual behaviors in the comments section..

I 100% agree that mushoku tensei is a really good story, but when it comes to sexualizing women, I just can't get past it. some scenes make me uncomfortable, especially when female characters are portrayed in ways that feel unnecessary(I don't mind the three wives). what's funny is that I can watch anime where killing is a major part of the story, like akame ga kill, but this is where I draw the line. Idk man, hahah. I know mushoku tensei has a lot of depth, and I don't hate the anime, but I just can't bring myself to watch it. I know the reality we live in is so much worse, but that doesn't mean I have to be comfortable seeing it portrayed that way in fiction.

people are judging an anime but doesn't want to talk about the real world. take note, this is happening in the real world! and they choose to rant about their own personal opinion in an anime? i actually like how mushoku tensei is portrayed. great storytelling. just make sure that if you're gonna watch it, dont think of the real world, paghiwalayin mo ang fiction at reality mo. anime/manga/fictional to. kung gusto mo mag rant tungkol sa mga nasa story nito, same lang din sa real world. dun ka dapat mag rant. 😊

I think the hate on the mushoku tensei is pretty understandable. the medium in this specific media is really — I MEAN REALLY offensive, especially there is pdfilia content in the anime and many form of its medium, and the author had some a lot of self insert kink in the franchise. and there is a lot of reason why they need to make a less controversial version of the medium, because the LN version had some questionable direction for the story. I think the story is great but for you to completely support/enjoy it, you have to dodge a lot of questionable things for you to actually enjoy the series. even if it's only fiction
