for me personally it was location. cuz i feel the same way but in high school i DEFINITELY was not as proactive like you and i definitely wish I was but I think responsibility and emotional stability is also such a big one because it gives you that opportunity like you’re saying to find yourself better. i feel like the vague general point is everyone when they get to college rly shows what they were somewhat lacking from before and it’s important not to miss it or let it overcome you if that makes sense. like for me responsibility was a big one. from a different perspective all the structure and busyness of high school was everything for me. so going to college i had no idea what to do cuz i had to build my own structure not just find which one was right for me but LITERALLY knowing myself enough to know what i wanted to fill my time with. and frankly even tho i was so much happier throughout the entire process i still kept learning more about myself including the weaknesses 😭 and college rly rly teaches u simply how to better your life and yourself
