@hkeye_: A determined jogger was seemingly unfazed by the ongoing rioting in Paris as she opted to run directly through the chaos on Saturday, October 17. Nacer Eddine Maouche of Voxa Street told Storyful he was in the city covering the demonstration when he witnessed the “unusual scene.” “Protesters had blocked the street to prevent police vehicles from passing through. There were fires, thick smoke, and a very tense atmosphere, then suddenly a woman appeared calmly jogging through the middle of the chaos,” he said. Maouche said he was “genuinely surprised and amused” to spot the runner and he was “not the only one who was astonished.” France is currently reeling from violent demonstrations that began as student-led protests. Some French cities have been given the power to implement partial curfews to protect people and shops, while night curfews are being implemented. #hkeye #jogger #jogging #france #french #paris #protest #frenchprotests #emmanuelmacron #pariscity #highschoolprotests #education #publicspending #costofliving #inequality #civilunrest #streetdemonstration#arcdetriomphe #europe #europeanunion#frenchgovernment #publicdemonstration #frenchstudents #studentprotest #socialunrest #laborunions #strikes #frenchworkers
