@margo_miuller: Replying to @lilli Just because our ancestors ate meat to survive doesn’t mean we need it to thrive. Evolution shaped us for survival and reproduction, not necessarily optimal long-term health. Being able to eat something doesn’t mean we need to. #nutritioneducation #nutritionstudent #meat #plantbased
true. in an ideal world no one would eat animal products at all. unfortunately, i think most people eat them because they are familiar, accessible, and convenient compared to an equally satiating & calorically dense plant based diet.

lilli :
See but a lot of people’s issue is the demeanor behind your first post. Your post felt judgmental towards people who do choose to eat meat. Kinda chic to eat what fuels MY body best is far different from directly targeting a diet with animal products which you just stated here that can provide a healthy and balanced diet. As far as ethics, there are absolutely unethical and etichal ways to obtain animal products. And for me, in Genesis, God created animals AND plants as food, so I believe we were in fact created to eat meat and animal products as the bible tells us. The point is, eat what you want, don’t judge what others eat if they can eat it and be healthy!
