i went out with this guy one time before i met my BD, he had crooked and gapped teeth. i didnt think too far into it because i know orthodontist care isnt cheap. but then he stayed O/N with me one time, and when he brushed his teeth …. mouth fuuuuuull of blood. like he hadnt brushed his teeth in a HOT minute. after i noticed that i started noticing all the smaller unhygienic things and i just couldnt do it :( felt really bad but im lowkey a clean freak about my hygiene.

Agreed, the teeth do not have to be straight because I know braces are expensive but they do need to be CLEAN and FLOSSED. Bare minimum.

You can also just tell them that. I did, and he was appreciative of my honesty and did take care of it. His teeth are not perfect, but he now has impeccable oral hygiene and no bad breath.
