I feel like it could of been to do with staffing, I’ve run restaurants before and staff on Sundays can be unpredictable (should always be a back up) but if you have bookings it’s courtesy to let them know well ahead of time you can’t open or whatever. No booking

as the owner of a retail shop - while this would have been a terrible experience for you i would only guess there was an emergency situation. we have closed once last minute due to my scheduled surgery and casual staff not showing up. hope the business owners are okay. hope you got dinner elsewhere still.

This has happened to us! It was 6 ppl and we had booked a pasta wine sip for a hens! Couldn’t even believe it!

They’ve definitely forgotten to update their opening hours 🫠 or they don’t know how to and just think it’s ok to leave it. Which is super frustrating and so not ok

unreliable place- there is still a level of customer service to let them know due to circumstances beyond their control they wouldn't be able to open....

Hahaha my mum and I booked a restaurant online, confirmation email and all. Rocked up and it was completely gutted and a massive commercial for lease sign 😂😂😂

My mum flew to Sydney caught an uber to the hotel she had a reservation at only to find they were closed for renovations 🤷♀️

as someone who works in the industry that's extremely bad form! the only acceptable excuse for this would be if something major happened with no prior notice but even still they should have at a bare minimum called or made some sort of contact to let you know! name and shame!

I ordered food online for pickup even paid online for it from a place that also had everything indicating OPEN turned up to pick it up and they were CLOSED 😳 fortunately I got a refund within 3 days but wasn’t happy and even they are delecious I refuse to go back on principal

That happened to me a couple of years ago as well. We ended up at a different restaurant around the corner when we just wanted to go to a cocktail bar
