The most famous hike in the Dolomites, is it worth it? (Spoiler alert: Yes it is) Here’s everything you need to know The Tre Cime di Lavaredo loop is roughly 10km, takes 3 to 4 hours, and circles all three peaks so you get a completely different view every few hundred metres. Genuinely one of the most spectacular trails I’ve ever done. What to know before you go It’s a loop with no backtracking, and every angle is different. Being a UNESCO World Heritage site, crowds are real, so go early. There’s a tiny rifugio mid-loop where you should stop for cake. The caves at Drei Zinnen Hütte are one of the best photo spots in the entire region, so don’t walk past them. The thing most people miss Before you leave, add 2km to check out the Cadini di Misurina viewpoint. It’s right near the bus stop and almost everyone walks straight past the turn-off. Hands down one of the best views in the Dolomites, and it takes about 20 minutes. Getting here car-free The whole area is served by the Dolomiti Bus network, so no car needed.
