@thekingronda: Elizabeth Holmes once commanded rooms filled with powerful politicians, military leaders, and business executives. But one man who helped expose her company’s scandal says the woman he saw in a new documentary looked nothing like the confident leader he remembered. Tyler Shultz, a former Theranos employee who became a whistleblower, shared his reaction to You Can See Everything during an appearance on CBS Mornings on Monday. “The Elizabeth that I knew completely commanded a room,” Shultz recalled, describing how Holmes once appeared confident even among some of the most powerful people in the country. But after watching the documentary, his impression was very different. “The woman that I saw on screen looked, frankly, like a broken woman. Almost unrecognizable,” he said. Yet Shultz was not convinced by Holmes’ continued claims that she had done nothing wrong. He criticized a scene in which Holmes showed filmmaker Nathan Fielder a version of Theranos’ testing device. Shultz claimed it was an unfinished model, not the machine employees had actually used to test patients. He said the technology he worked with was unreliable and had failed quality checks. He also accused Holmes of misleading investors about what the company could achieve. Shultz said he felt compelled to speak out because he believed patients were being harmed by inaccurate results, including reports involving serious medical conditions and pregnancy. Holmes was convicted in 2022 on four federal charges involving misleading investors and was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison. The documentary follows Holmes during the weeks before she began serving her sentence in May 2023. Despite his criticism, Shultz admitted that watching her leave her young children to begin her prison term was painful. The film has reopened a difficult question: how do you recognize someone’s suffering while still holding them accountable for the harm they caused? \#ElizabethHolmes #Theranos #YouCanSeeEverything #TrueCrime #documentarynews
